“Five problems a taxonomy can’t solve but might get blamed for” was the provocative title of my talk at the Bite size Taxonomy Boot Camp in June 2022. With this talk I wanted to equip taxonomists with the tools to unpick content and findability problems. Because the problem may not be because of the taxonomy itself, but from somewhere else such as content structure, tagging quality, business processes etc. Taxonomists can play their part in helping organisations make more of their investment in search, tagging and content production.
There was a very vivid Q&A and discussion at the end of my talk. So nice to hear that all points were recognized by many.
